Once the fluence spectrum Φ(ε) (cm–2) is known (by experimental measurements or through calculations) the effective dose E can be calculated using the following expression:
E = ∫ fE(ε) · Φ(ε) · d(ε) | (6) |
and the ambient dose equivalent can be calculated in a similar way:
H* = ∫ fH*(ε) · Φ(ε) · d(ε) | (7) |
